MixMe (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the MixMe mobile application (the “App”).

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the information you authorize those services to share (typically your name and email).

1.2 Musical Preferences

We collect data about your musical taste to personalize your experience, including:

• Artists and genres you select during onboarding
• Playlists you generate, save, share, or export
• Tracks you replace or skip (negative signals)

1.3 Connected Music Services

If you connect a streaming service (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, YouTube Music, or MusicMe), we store an access token to enable playlist export and playback. We do not store your streaming service password.

1.4 Usage Data

We collect anonymized analytics events (screen views, feature usage, errors) to improve the App. This data is not linked to your identity.

1.5 Device Information

We collect your device type, operating system version, and push notification token (if you enable notifications).

2. How We Use Your Information

• Playlist generation: Your prompt and taste profile are sent to our AI service to generate personalized playlists.
• Personalization: Your taste data (Soul System) improves playlist recommendations over time.
• Account management: To authenticate you, sync your data across devices, and manage your subscription.
• Export & playback: To export playlists to connected streaming services and enable in-app playback.
• Push notifications: To notify you when playlists are ready or when new features are available (opt-in only).
• Improvement: Anonymized analytics help us fix bugs and improve features.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• AI providers: Your prompts (not your identity) are sent to generate playlists.
• Streaming services: When you export a playlist, track data is sent to the selected service via their API.
• Infrastructure providers: We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting, with data stored in secure data centers.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

• All personal data (playlists, preferences, connected accounts) is permanently deleted within 30 days.
• Anonymized analytics data may be retained.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to processing of your data

You can delete your account at any time from Profile > Account > Delete Account.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit
• Secure token storage using iOS Keychain and Android Keystore
• Row-level security policies on our database
• Server-side API key management (never exposed to the client)

7. Children’s Privacy

MixMe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, YouTube Music, MusicMe) subject to their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
